You can change a business plan for any business, anytime. For example, if you added or claimed your business in a Free plan, you can upgrade it to a paid plan. Or, you can upgrade a current paid plan from Silver to Gold. Upgrade gives you lot of additional benefits to leverage your business visiblity by publishing and sharing your personalized and custom branded coupons, in multiple ways.
You can also change a plan from a higher plan (Gold) to lower plan (Silver), or switch the plan between Monthly or Yearly, anytime.
In Navigation, click on My Businesses.
The list of businesses that you have added or claimed, appears. The Plan column shows the current plan of the corresponding business, as below.
- A business in Free plan (the lowest plan) shows you an option to upgrade.
- A business in Silver plan (it is not the top plan) shows you an option to change plan.
In either case, click on Upgrade or Change as required.
The Change Plan options appear where you can select the higher plan for the business.
As you select a different plan, the Change Plan button becomes available.
Click on Change Plan button. The payment page appears.
Promotional Code: If you have a promotional code, enter the right code to avail a discount.
See the payment details carefully as the amount that you have paid for the current plan is adjusted for the new plan's price on pro-rated base.
If you have used a card for purchasing a business before, that card is shown on this page for further use. Click on Use This Card button to use this card to make the payment. You can also add a new card details, if required.
If the payment is processed successfully, the business plan will be upgraded.
In My Businesses, you can see the new plan in the Plan column for this business.
You can change plan for the billing cycle only such as from Monthly to Yearly, or Yearly to Monthly, within the same plan. For example, to change a billing cycle in a Silver plan business, select the alternative option in Change Plan, as below.
No Payment processing is involved in case of billing cycle change.
You can downgrade a higher plan to a lower plan, if required. In Plan column, click on Change for the higher plan business that you want to downgrade.
On Change Plan, select the lower plan. LocalArea shows you a message that your downgrade is scheduled for the date at the end of current billing cycle (because you have already paid for this higher plan for the current billing cycle).
As soon as you click on Change Plan button, it will schedule the downgrade and redirect you to My Businesses page. No payment processing is involved in case of downgrade.
In My Businesses, you can see a quick note for this scheduled downgrade, as below.
If you click on Change option again for this business, LocalArea shows you the scheduled plan change note on Change Plan page too, as below.
Downgrade to Free Plan
For a paid plan business, you can change it to a free plan. In Auto-Renew column, turn it off to stop the payment after the billing cycle.
